BW Auto World talked to Dr Amitabh Saran, CEO & Co-founder, Altigreen on their milestone achievement of opening the 28th dealership at Gurugram and how their dealership is going to give a different experience to their customers and he future plans with upcoming products. Here's what he said:

How Altigreen dealerships are different from their competition?

We will give our customers a service which will be affordable as we have kept the prices of everything accordingly and a good ambience where they can see their vehicles getting serviced in front of them. So customers should visit only dealerships for their service of vehicles.

What are your plans for the year?

We are planning to close this financial year with almost 30 dealerships all over the nation. By next financial year, we are planning to have almost 70 outlets.

Are you selling your product more to B2B or B2C?

This March our B2C sales are going to beat the sales of B2B. We are selling more in B2C than B2B because in march B2B sales decreases and also the total market share of B2B is just 10 to 12 per cent only.

Why would somebody choose your electric vehicle?

The good part of EVs is that one can charge them at home. Another major point is that one can drive an EV on regenerative energy, which saves a lot of energy and money. Technology plays an important role nowadays in making a good product and keeping the factor in mind we are working on a technology where we can show the price per kilometre to the driver on their instrument cluster so they can know more about their vehicle and driving habits.

What are the future products on which you are working currently?

In India, a vehicle as a product can be successful if they are made for Indian conditions and with the requirements of its customers such as more loading capacity, more fuel efficiency and if the vehicle is more rough and tough. Keeping these points in mind within the upcoming two months we will be launching our electric three-wheeler passenger vehicle. And we are also working on our first cargo electric vehicle.
