The trend of the Indian automobile market is changing to adapt more and more electric vehicles, and many automakers are coming and launching their electric vehicles. Tata is one of the automakers that has the largest share of the Indian EV market. Here are the three EVs that Tata has come up with this year.

Tata Nexon EV Max

The Tata Nexon EV with the 'Max' suffix was unveiled earlier this year in a long-range variant. The Nexon EV Max, which costs between Rs 18.34 lakh and Rs 20.04 lakh (ex-showroom), has a larger 40.5 kWh battery pack than the Nexon EV Prime, which was previously known as the basic Nexon EV. As a result, the Max version's range on a single full charge is 437 kilometres, as verified by ARAI.

According to Tata, a 50kW DC fast charger can charge its battery from zero to eighty per cent in just 56 minutes. An illuminated gear knob with a park mode, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, an air purifier, a wireless charger, ventilated seats, multi-drive modes (Eco, City, and Sport), and hill descent control are some of the extra features that the Nexon EV Max receives over the original Nexon EV. The SUV's electric powertrain generates 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, enabling it to go from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 9 seconds.

Tata Tigor EV

Last month, Tigor EV received an upgrade that included a few new functions and increased its range. The 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack used in the Tata EV currently offers a stated 315 km of range on a single full charge. With 75 PS and 170 Nm of torque, its electric motor enables it to go from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds.

A DC fast charger can charge the battery of the Tigor EV from 0% to 80% in 59 minutes, while a regular 15A charger can charge the battery from 10% to 100% in 9.4 hours. Prices for the Tigor EV now start at Rs. 12.49 lakh and go as high as Rs. 13.75 lahks (both prices, ex-showroom).

Tata Tiago EV

The Tata Tiago is currently the cheapest fully electric vehicle on the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the MIDC cycle, the compact EV can be purchased with either a 19.2 kWh or a 24 kWh battery pack, providing a range of up to 250 km or 315 km, respectively.

The vehicle is equipped with a single permanent magnet synchronous motor that has a maximum output of 61 PS and a maximum torque of 110 Nm for the mid-range model and 75 PS and 114 Nm for the long-range model. According to Tata, a DC fast charger can charge the battery in the Tiago EV from empty to 80% in just 58 minutes.
