Petronas TVS Racing Sweeps The First Round Of 2023 Indian National Supercross Championship

Petronas TVS Racing has emerged victorious in the first round of the 2023 Indian National Supercross Championship. The team’s racers displayed exceptional skill and determination, navigating the challenging track with ease and finishing the race with a comfortable lead.

TVS Racing has been playing a key role in flourishing the motorsports culture in India and the company’s “Track To Road” philosophy has been pivotal in engineering the TVS Apache series. The performance motorcycle brand has recently achieved its 5 million global sales milestone, becoming the fastest-growing in the segment.

For the 2023 season, Petronas TVS Racing put a special focus on improved engine performance, suspension modifications for better manoeuvrability, and weight reduction of the race bikes that further helped in winning the top honours in the first round.

Rugved Barguje won the Group A Foreign Open class up to 500 cc category astride TR 300X. Prajwal V and Ikshan Shanbhag sealed P2 and P3 respectively, demonstrating promising performances. Banteilang Jyrwa won the Group C Indian Experts up to 260 cc class on the TR 200X, based on TVS Apache RTR 200. Sachin D emerged as the winner of the Group C Novice up to 260 cc category on the TR 200X based on TVS Apache RTR 200. Petronas TVS Racing team pulled off an electrifying clean sweep, winning all three categories and participating in the first round of the 2023 SX National Championship. The championship-winning TVS Apache RTR 200-based TR 200X is equipped with a modified race-tuned engine, customised built exhaust, frame and long travel USD Suspension & mono-shock which is specially tuned as per individual rider feedback.
