App-based door-to-door fuel delivery service provider, ‘The Fuel Delivery’ has announced the signing of an ‘All India Business Agreement’ with state owned oil major, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). The service level agreement allows The Fuel Delivery to offer doorstep delivery of diesel anywhere in India.
Making the announcement, Rakshit Mathur, Founder and CEO, The Fuel Delivery, said, “We are delighted to share the signing of a pan India business agreement with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. We see a lot of synergy between our service offerings and IOCL’s footprint across the length and breadth of the country. We will further expand the company’s rich legacy in fuel retail.”
The fuel delivery market is fast evolving with oil marketing companies entering into agreement with start-ups in the segment. The segment has the potential for start-ups to become a ‘FuelEnt’ (Fuel Entrepreneur) while generating employment at the grass root level. Customer places an order through the mobile or web app, while the fuel is delivered with customer details like name, mobile number, quantity, address and time of delivery. The Fuel Delivery picks up the order and deliver it to the customers.
“We see a huge potential for home delivery of fuel primarily in sectors like real estate, hospitals, corporate office parks, schools and institutions, banks, shopping malls, warehouses, transportation and logistics, and the agricultural sector. We anticipate the market to be over 2,000 crore in the next 6 to 12 months”, further added Rakshit Mathur.
The Fuel Delivery recently announced that it is all set to start operations in India beginning Delhi NCR and the country’s business capital Mumbai. It also plans to enter other key markets like Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata in next 6 to 12 months.
