Maserti Premiers A Convertible Super Sports Car - MC20 Cielo

MC20 Cielo is a 100 percent made in Italy model which has been developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena and produced at the Viale Ciro Menotti plant.

Italian luxury vehicle manufacturer, Maserati has globally premiered the much awaited super sports car, MC20 Cielo. The company says it is one-of-a-kind car that can deliver the performance of a true super sports car the like of which has never been seen before.

In MC20 Cielo - MC stands for Maserati Corse; 20 refers to the year 2020; Cielo means sky.

This super sports car is a 100 percent made in Italy model which has been developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena and produced at the Viale Ciro Menotti plant.

Design 

The new spyder is a car with an elegant yet highly sporty design with refined aerodynamics. The super sports car gets a carbon fibre cockpit, unmasked front wheels, an innovative retractable glass roof and butterfly doors. The butterfly doors provide easier access into and out of the cabin.

The carbon fibre chassis will be introduced in Maserati’s future electric versions. 

Specifications/ Features

The Maserati MC20 Cielo is equipped with V6 Nettuno engine and the car weighs 65 kg more than the coupe. The model is equipped with an electrochromic window, a smart glass that can be transformed from clear to opaque at the touch of a button on the central screen. This has been designed with the Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) technology. 

The glass roof is thermal insulated and of opening and closing speed is 12 seconds.

The new model comes with some safety features like parking sensors, a rear-view camera and blind-spot monitoring. With the new spyder, Maserati is also introducing features like autonomous emergency brake, traffic sign information and a new 360° camera. 

For your entertainment, the MC20 Cielo gets an optional high premium Sonus Faber audio system. The audio system has been specifically optimized to fit the unique acoustic and positioning needs of the spyder’s cabin with 12 speakers.

The super sports car is managed from the Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system, and from Maserati Connect. 

Colour

The launch version features a new three-layer metallic colour known as acquamarina, a pastel grey, and iridescent aquamarine mica.
