MG Motors & ISIEINDIA To Establish Centre Of Excellence For EV Research And Skill Development For Electric Vehicle Engineering

Under this MOU, ISIE and MG Motors INDIA will establish Centre of Excellence for EV Training and Research for Electric Vehicle Engineering. Various Master Programs in Electric Vehicle, Specialization in Electric Vehicle, PG Diploma program in EV, HEV technologies will be provided to faculty and students.

ISIEINDIA - Center for Excellence

ISIEINDIA and Morris Garages India (MG Motors) have come together to establish the Centre of Excellence for EV Research which will help create an ecosystem for Sustainable Mobility Solutions in the country.

Under this MOU, ISIE and MG Motors INDIA will establish Centre of Excellence for EV Training and Research for Electric Vehicle Engineering. Various Master Programs in Electric Vehicle, Specialization in Electric Vehicle, PG Diploma program in EV, HEV technologies will be provided to faculty and students. The Centre of Excellence for E-Mobility Research and Skill Development was launched by Prof (Dr.) Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). These facilities at Universities and Institutes will be supported by SMEV (Society Of Manufacturers Of Electric Vehicles)and are aiming to skill 5 Lakhs + Youths of India for EV Industry by 2025.

On signing the MOU with ISIE India Yash Yadav Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, MG Motors India said “We MG Motors India are also one of the fastest start-up autonomous industry and as a very young organization, ISIE is running skill development programs for youth, ISIE trains people with high skills development. It's great pride to partner with ISIEINDIA for Skill development and Research for EV Sector ''.

COE consists of three lab EV/HEV Powertrain Research Lab, Battery Prototyping & Testing Lab, Charging Infrastructure Lab through which student can perform various research on Electric Vehicle Powertrain, Battery Design, Motor Design, Battery Pack Cooling, Battery Pack Thermal Management, Charging Infra etc.

Vinod Gupta, President of ISIEINDIA said “Center of Excellence will be eco-system for Industry and Academia though our practice on Electric Vehicle engineering programs we will be creating young entrepreneurs and Skill engineers. COE will also work between various Universities and institutes to exchange their knowledge and excellence for EV Skills and Research”. 

CEO of Hero Electric & Director General of SMEV Sohinder Gill said -  ISIE is doing a tremendous job to create and facilitate a Skill workforce for EV Industry that is the need of hour to empower and Skill our youths of India for EV sector. He announced ISIE and SMEV jointly will create a Digital platform for EV Skill and Career opportunity for youths of India as well as facilitate all SMEV members with skill workforce for EV sector. ISIE and SMEV jointly produce 5 Lakhs + Skilled workforce for EV sector by 2025.
